You can't build a steady life on shifting ground.
Whole: How the Truths We Believe Shape the Lives We Live offers a framework for building an unshakable identity — one rooted in what is true, so it holds when circumstances, roles and opinions change.
PRE-ORDER
Whole isn’t meant to be read straight through. It’s meant to be worked through, with pen in hand, writing in the margins and filling the pages as you discover what’s true for you. The printed copy is the way this book is meant to be experienced. The art is part of that experience too. The watercolor and line work throughout aren’t decoration; they’re woven into how the book speaks. Most books are printed in black and white for a reason: full color is much more expensive, especially in small batches. I chose to keep the color because the book wouldn’t be whole without it.

ABOUT THE BOOK
The truths we believe become the lives we live.
When we’re growing, what anchors our identity? When roles, relationships, success, or circumstances shift, what remains?
This is for people who are starting.
And people starting over.
Whether you're growing into adulthood, rebuilding after loss, navigating a major transition, or simply realizing that the life you built no longer feels like it fits, this book offers a framework for building—or rebuilding—an identity that can withstand change.
Enjoy this full-color guided reflection book that combines personal narrative, cognitive behavioral principles, and Christian theology to help you examine the beliefs shaping your identity—and consider how your life might change if those beliefs became healthier.
The memoir keeps it relatable.
The psychology gives it practicality.
The theology gives it foundation.
The reflection questions make it participatory.
The artwork makes it experiential.
Together, these five pieces support one central idea:
The truths we believe about ourselves determine the lives we live.
When you know what is true about who you are, you can face life's challenges and remain WHOLE.
FROM THE OPENING CHAPTER
"Change is unavoidable. Roles shift. Relationships evolve. Beliefs deepen. Bodies age. But if identity can be anchored in something deeper than circumstances, then resilience becomes possible.
That is the journey of this book. I’m glad to be on the journey with you."

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kim Erisman is a person who has spent a lifetime creating, learning, growing, loving, questioning, and rebuilding. She spends her resources as an artist, entrepreneur, designer, writer, volunteer, wife, mother, and lifelong learner. Her work has always centered around creating—whether designing spaces, developing ideas, building teams, making art and music, or helping people discover what is possible.
Kim has spent more than two decades navigating marriage, parenting, faith, career, creativity, leadership, and personal growth. She has served in church and worship ministry, worked with volunteers and teams, raised a family, built a business, and spent years doing the difficult work of rebuilding her own life and identity.
She writes from the intersection of personal experience, curiosity, faith, and a deep belief that people are capable of growth. She is especially interested in the ways our beliefs shape our identity—and how examining those beliefs can change the way we live.
Kim lives in Iowa with her family and continues to create, learn, grow, and occasionally sit outside with a book beside her flowers.
